Fall Prevention Technologies Pty (Ltd) provides comprehensive Work at Height training to ensure the safety and competency of individuals working in elevated environments. Our range of courses includes Basic Fall Arrest Operator, Fall Arrest Technician, and Fall Protection Planner programs, designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to mitigate risks and perform their duties safely and effectively.

Basic Fall Arrest Technician

PURPOSE
This training is suitable for people working at height where there is a risk of injury of a fall. Learners will be involved in performing tasks at height.

DURATION
One day

  • Explaining the use and limitations of a limited range of fall arrest equipment and fall arrest plan.
  • Inspecting, assembling and storing fall arrest equipment.
  • Selecting suitable anchor points.
  • Using fall arrest systems with a double lanyard.
  • Using pre-installed vertical and horizontal life-lines.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid medical certificate of fitness (to work at height) signed by an OHP.
  • Certified copy of ID Document (x 1).
    All Trainees to be able to read and write in English.
  • For onsite training – safe & secure structure of 6m and suitable training venue.
  • Fall Prevention Technologies (Pty) Ltd will provide all equipment required throughout the course.

 

CERTIFICATES:  Valid for 3 years

Fall Arrest Technician

PURPOSE

This training is suitable for people working at height where there is a risk of injury of a fall. Learners will be involved in performing tasks at height. Qualifying learners are able to take responsibility for inspection and installation of a fall arrest system and implementing a fall protection plan including rescues.

DURATION
Three days

  • Explaining the use of a range of fall arrest equipment and knowledge of applicable regulations.
  • Explaining and using basic rope knots.
    Installing and using fall arrest systems.
  • Inspecting and assembling fall arrest equipment and systems.
  • Interpreting and implementing a fall protection plan.
    Performing basic fall arrest rescues to bring a casualty down to safety.

Fall Protection Planner

PURPOSE

This training is suitable for people responsible for the safety and protection of people working at height where there is a risk of injury from a fall. The learner will be responsible for the safety of others performing tasks at height. Qualifying learners are able to develop a fall protection plan for people working at height, required by the Construction Regulations 2014, Regulation 10(1).

Three days
